[NEWS] Movensys wins IR52 Jang Yeong-sil Award for 'WMX'

Motion control company Movensys (CEO Pyongwon Pak) announced on the 27th that its software-based control solution ‘WMX’ has won the ‘IR52 Jang Yeong-sil Award’.
The ‘IR52 Jang Yeong-sil Award’ is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and hosted by the Korea Industrial Technology Association. It is the best industrial technology award in Korea that selects and rewards organizations with excellent technological innovation and excellent new technology products developed by companies and technology research institutes.
Movensys' WMX is the world's first solution that replaces PLC and motion control boards and can control the motion of machines and robots with only software on a Windows PC. It is a software product that combines Soft Motion, a motion control technology developed in-house, and Soft Master, a software-type fieldbus communication technology.
This open architecture-based solution supports various programming environments. It is characterized by excellent network scalability without being dependent on specific hardware, and excellent program extensibility as it can be organically connected to other programs and solutions through general-purpose programming languages (C, C++, C#, etc.) and API connection.
Based on its outstanding technology, Movensys is currently supplying products to domestic and foreign semiconductors and related companies, and has recorded sales growth of more than doubling since 2020. In the future, Movensys plan to expand to markets such as displays, secondary batteries, automobiles, and logistics automation. They plan to secure technology such as computing.
Boo-Ho Yang, Chairman of Movensys, said, “The technology and excellence of WMX have already been verified in the domestic semiconductor market, and I think it has been objectively recognized once again through this award. We plan to diversify and expand business opportunities.”
