Movensys, a leading developer and provider of software-based motion control solutions, has been officially designated as a “military service exception company” by the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) for the first half of 2025. This designation allows the company to recruit personnel for the Specialized Research Program, enabling eligible individuals to fulfill their mandatory military service through research and development work.

The military service exception system is a government initiative aimed at enhancing national industrial competitiveness. Under this system, companies that meet specific criteria set by the MMA can employ conscripts in lieu of traditional military service, allowing them to contribute to research and technological advancement instead. In particular, the Specialized Research Program enables individuals with a master’s degree or higher in natural sciences or engineering to serve in designated private sector research institutes.

With this designation, Movensys is now positioned to recruit qualified candidates as alternative military service researchers and assign them to its R&D department, where they will engage in meaningful technology development projects. These researchers will work as part of the company’s development team, with specific roles and assignments determined according to internal demand and project requirements.

Movensys is committed to providing these researchers with the same working conditions as full-time employees, including participation in a wide range of projects, internal training programs, and opportunities for overseas business trips. The alternative service will be conducted strictly in accordance with the regulations set forth by the MMA.

Going forward, Movensys plans to actively seek top-tier software talent in both IT and OT fields through this program as opportunities for recruitment arise.

In addition, Movensys continues to foster a supportive and productive work environment for all employees by offering various welfare programs. These include a flexible work-hour system, financial support for job-related training, three extra days of paid summer leave, and paid leave for long-term employees—initiatives that help employees enhance both productivity and quality of life.
